...at least for the last few weeks. Back story: I have been pretty holed up at home and a lot of my interactions on the Internet have dictated the writing of this list.
-"Lame dudes with no game" - Well the Gym Class Heroes said it first and said it best, but webcam antics are really starting to fail to impress me these days. Ditto for flirting via FB msg ... I mean REALLY?
-People who have no idea what they want. As in real life, I get frustrated when I encounter someone who is ignorant.
-International emailing systems. Not sure if I should blame censorship, shoddy spam filters, or what have you, but DAMN, I am missing out on some important stuff.
**on bright side!** I am now caught up with ALL of my paperwork .... wheee. :)

4 Facts ...

that have liberated me in the last month. Or just helped me hold on to my sanity (especially you, #3!), your pick.
-I am SO MUCH classier (not to mention smarter) than your new girlfriend.
-A little more giving will not harm me.
-Bureaucracy is made up of a horde of incompetent baboons.
-Soy sauce tastes good with EVERYTHING.

Moschino Cheap and Chic
|
|
So it's definitely been awhile since one of my online window shopping - esque posts, but never fear, I was not deterred. So for the unitiated, today, I will be talking about Moschino Cheap and Chic.
From what I recall, Moschino is a fashion house best known for their hobo-flowy type dresses and similarly hippy-type patterns and fabrics (think tye dye, but with a high fashion edge). Incidentally, it is a still a brand that is very much "in the family," and the current successor to the thrown is some brunette girl who sometimes has really bad taste in what not to wear.
I am SO excited to say that this hobo-shizz did not translate into their line of jewelry, and that indeed, what they say is true: it IS cheap and chic! So I was on Gilt this morning (lol) and I noticed that they called this stuff irreverent yet chic ... well you know how Cathy rolls, she loves irreverent and chic jewelry (see: Miss Sixty and Juicy Couture) and the winner of my heart today is the Goose Bracelet, pictured to the left. I absolutely LOVE the reference to the golden goose, and I think the bracelet itself (especially if you imagine it without the goose) is very classy looking without looking trashy ... mmm, love that matte gold look. Well, I don't exactly have a reason to drop $95 on a bracelet right now, especially with my funds low and my having received a shitton of bracelets for graduation ... but one can dream. :]

Medicine Cabinet
|
|
Last night I was reminded again that my life has irrevocably changed. Recently, I came down with some combination of a flu/cold and it keeps vacillating from feeling almost OK again to sniffling and losing sleep throughout the night (a painful torture if there ever was one). Last I remembered, my house had a standard medicine drawer complete with flu/cold meds, so I looked there, only to discover to my dismay that in my academic absence, such things had disappeared. (But never fear, if I for some reason contract constipation, boy, is my medicine drawer ready to help me.) So, right now, I'm living off of Robitussin Cough & Cold, which doesn't even cover my sore throat symptom ... not to mention their claim of "long-lasting relief" is such a lie, I still can't get through the night without blowing my nose. :( More seriously though, this mystified me. Where were all the standard meds?
On the phone with my sister (who is currently in China), I asked her about the meds. She said, "Anything with acetaminophen is gone right?" Ah. Then I knew. All of those meds--Tylenol, Xanax, etc--had been purged the last time my parents Belinda-proofed the house.
One option (as suggested to me by Belinda) was to just go down to the local pharmacy and get myself some more serious meds, but I'm not sure I'd be able to finish whatever I get before I get better, and then what do I do with the extras? Better suffer a little more than set up a perfect little tragic loophole for my sister.
